How does Kin's memory work?

Kin's memory pulls information from your messages into a database on your device so it can always reference it. Kin's memory is automatic, so in practice, it works just by you talking with Kin.

How private is Kin?

More than anyone else. Every word you share and every reply is stored locally on your device - unless you change your settings to allow otherwise. You have full control over deleting it at any time.

Do I need a subscription to use Kin?

No - There is a free version available for Kin with some limitations to advisors, voice- and message limits. Kin subscription is optional - but worth it.

Can I use Kin on a desktop?

Soon. You can install Kin on a Mac, but we haven't optimized Kin for desktops yet. We know the feature is heavily requested, and it is something our team is working on.

Can I connect other apps to Kin?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For the moment Kin works with your calendar (i.e. Google Calendar) to help you plan and/or optimize your day. Soon Apple Health.
